Newbie needs advice (MS Project 2000)

Hello my favorite source of reliable, valuable information!

I am in need of advice on how to learn MS Project well enough to do a basic Gantt chart in 48 hours! Is there any beginners source you know about that would make that goal something other than a joke?

I have entered some tasks and am following along with the MS tutorial to learn as you go but.....we KNOW that leaves a lot to be understood.

    Thanks again for being here....

This may be late, but I would suggest that you go through the tutorial as you are doing to create the basic gantt chart. It should step you through everything you need.

    Gary,

Thanks so much for responding late or not. When I didn't get the immediate feedback I usually do, I figured that it must be slim pickins finding a Manual that one recommends for a newbie. I did use the step by step but it does assume more knowledge than I have.

    Will persevere - thanks again!

Another good resource is the MS Project Book for Dummies. (I like most of the ... book for dummies and have used SQL for dummies, starting a business for dummies, and others and have always found them very helpful)

I also use the Special Edition using MS Project by Tim Pyron.
