    1. While in a header or footer, right click a toolbar, and select Customize... In the Toolbars tab, select Header and Footer, then click Reset... Confirm, then click Close.

    My Normal.dot was corrupted. I created a new Normal.dot and the entries in the

    Hi Bob,

    I'm glad you were able to solve it. I'm afraid that corruption of Normal.dot and of the Data key in the registry are facts of life.
    When you've got everything arranged the way you like, make a backup of Normal.dot, and export the Data key from the registry. Next time you have problems, just restore the backup Normal.dot and import the .reg file.
