Scripts for resolution (Windows XP Home)

Does anyone have a script that will set the resolution of the display based on the name of the user logging onto my machine. I have a separate account for my kids and would like the display set to 800x600 when they log in, and set at 1280x1024 when I log in.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

There are utilities to do this, for example:
    Display Resolution Manager
    Per user display settings
    and no doubt many others.

Both are good, but I think I will stick with the uniquedisplay since it works with fast user switching.

    Thanks.

Hans, thanks for the links - the second, to Doug Knox's site, has a plentiful offering of little scripts for minor annoyances. That one's a keeper!

<P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by TimOz on 07-Jun-03 13:02. Forgot to mention WinTidy 2)</P>I use UniqueDisplay, from WinSite. It works with Fast USer Switching, and once installed does it's thing without any intervention.

ps You'll probably want to use WinTidy 2 (courtesy PC Magazine) to maintain your icon layouts, since they get butchered when resolutions change (from high to low).
