Font Prints Different than Displayed (XP)

This question was asked of me, and I do not know the Service Release. I have been searching the Knowledge Base and the Lounge for almost an hour and can't find what I think might be the answer. Can you help me/us?

"The CG Omega font appears fine on screen, but prints incorrectly on
Win/Office XP. I know how to install new fonts, but how do I 'reload' one?"

    Thanks for your help.

Delete it and then reinstall it.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

What do you mean by "prints incorrectly"?

Dave is probably right, but consider whether your printer has its own built-in version of CG Omega, which might be subtly different from the OpenType/TrueType version installed on your computer. But it should be very similar indeed... If it's working correctly!

Somewhere I have seen a setting to "print text as graphics" but I can't find it in the printer setup I have at home. If you can find that, it may be worth a try.

To JohnGray, "prints incorrectly" means that it prints using a different font face.

Thanks to all of you for your ideas. I am sending a link to this page to the person who asked me for help.

Re my earlier reply - it may just be a laser printer thing, see the attached graphic.
