    LoadPowerProfile

    In msconfig, I noticed 2 instances of the following:
    LoadPowerProfile=Rundll32.exe Powerprofile.dll,LoadCurrent PwrScheme.

    Why would there be 2 and is it safe to remove the check mark on one of them? Would it matter which one?

    TIA

    Re: LoadPowerProfile

    Hi Sherry

    Both of those load power profile entries are required so don't uncheck either of them. I ran across an MS Knowledge base article on that just the other day but unfortunately don't have the reference here at work to pass on. At any rate, the article said that both loads are necessary.

    Thanks Gladys,

    I searched and found and <A target="_blank" HREF=http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q187/6/11.ASP> Q187611 and both articles confirm that both instances are necessary.

    Thanks again.
