    PowerPoint 97

I want to be able to create placeholders in a new template and I want the prompt text to disappear when clicked. I can create a text box with a typed prompt, but the user will have to highlight and delete the text. I have tried copying the Title placeholders etc from the slife master bu to no avail. Anyone know of a way?

You could delete the prompt from the slide master - but I think (haven't tested) it would be gone permanently. The placeholders on the master do not copy/paste to the individual slide. You cannot create new placeholders.
