Auto entry of data (access 2000)

Is there a way of auto entering data into fields by selecting a value from a field that is not a primary key field?

The easiest way is probably to use the Combo Box Wizard. Make sure that the Wizard button on the Toolbox (the magic wand) is down, then put a combo box on the form, and follow the steps of the Wizard.

No, I won't be able to do that coz this is a data entry form (events attended) and am getting the 'database name' feild from another table (members table). Is there any other ways of doing this?

You'll have to use the primary key one way or another. You can't enter another field and expect Access to supply the primary key that belongs to it. <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>
