Microsoft Equation (Micrsoft Office X on Mac)

I am using a mac G4 with MS Office. How do I insert an icon for the Equation editor on the standard tool bar?

It's years and many versions ago that I used Word on a Mac, so I don't know how compatible it is with the Windows version nowadays. In the Windows version, you select Tools | Customize...; in the Commands tab, select the Insert category, then scroll down the Commands list until you see Equation Editor (its icon is the square root of alpha), and finally drag this command to the desired toolbar location.
