    Remove macros from doc (Word 2000 (SR-1))

    I have tried to strip out macros from Word docs before emailing - to avoid the recipients being presented with a macro warning when they open a Word doc attachment. I would have thought deleting the Module containing the VBA code in the VB Editor would achieve this but it does not seem to.

    Any suggestions?

    Make sure that there are no macros in ThisDocument. If that doesn't help, take a look at WD2000: Macro Virus Warning Appears When No Macros Exist in File.

    Another simply way to do this is to save a copy of the document as an .RTF (Rich Text Format) file and send that to the recipient. No macros in those....
