    Compare Side-By-Side (XP)

In the just released Woddys Office 2003 it states that "Thanks to the many readers who pointed out that the 'Compare Side-by-Side' feature is also in Excel 2003 as well as Word 2003". I assume that this means this feature is in a previous version (XP or 2000). How do you use this feature in Excel? Each XLS file I open will not display in it's on Window. I have to open 2 copies of Excel to get this type of effect.

    Thanks

Open up both workbooks (or use new window to get another view of the SAME workbook)
Window - arrange - vertical <OK> will put them side-by-side

The only problem is they are NOT in sync. Moving down in one row does NOT affect the view of the other.

You can view 2 sections of the SAME sheet in sync with one another by using Window - Split. This will be in sync along columns and rows

Select Options from the Tools menu. Click on the View tab, Check the "Windows in Taskbar."
