    Excel - Work Menu (2000/SR-1)

In Word, there is a customized menu option available which is called the Work menu. In it you can add up to nine documents you constantly use so you don't have to scroll through a lot of folders over and over to get to them (a Recently Used list that doesn't change in other words). Is there a similar option available in Excel?

    Thanks much.

    Pooja,

Have you considered adding the files to your favorites?
File, Open, select the File, click the Add to favorites.

Please have a look at <post#=108795>post 108795</post#> which contains a useful Excel Work Menu Add-In written by Ian Sharpe of PCPlus a few years ago.
As explained in <post#=108527>post 108527</post#>, using Favorites as your Work Menu has the side effect (among others) of not letting you work with two workbooks simultaneously.

The attachment works great! Wish they would incorporate it into Excel! As for the using favorites idea, what creative thinking! I would never have thought of that.

    Thank you both.
