    Multi User Error Message (97)

If a user is is browsing a form and another user is editing the same form, this message apprears: The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time. (Error 3197).
The user who is adding records, also keeps loosing the data if another person is in the form. But they're on totally different records. Am I missing something here? Help! Please!

Re: Multi User Error Message (97)

Access 97 doesn't lock single records, but "pages" that can contain several records (the exact number depends on the record size), so if a user is editing a record, other records on the same "page" will be locked too.

You can set the RecordLocks property of the form to Edited Record. If a user is editing a record, others won't be able to edit this record and others on the same "page". If you show Record Selectors on the form, a "locked" symbol will appear in it if the record can't be edited at the moment.
