    Prevent text copying (2002/any)

Could someone suggest how to prevent a Word document from not having its text copied? Is there any way to protect the document or otherwise so that a copy of the material would not be possible? I was thinking PDF in some format would be the next step. Thanks!

I use protected PDF for this, but that still doesn't prevent them from using an OCR programme, and even if it did they could always read the text and retype it.

You could protect the file for forms and use a password but it really is only going to provide a speedbump to a determined copy-cat.

I would also suggest Acrobat or possibly hard copy. That makes it harder for them.
