    importing from Word table (XP)

    Hello,

I need to take a table from Word and bring it into Excel (for later use in Access). My problem is there is one table cell that is rather lengthy. One this cell comes into Excel it is broken into any number of cells.

Is there a way that I can get the whole Word table cell, no matter the length, to fit into just one Excel cell.

    Thanks, joe huggins

Does your "lengthy cell" contain line ends or paragraph ends? That would cause the cell to be split into several cells in Excel. If so, use Edit | Replace... in Word to replace the line and paragraph ends by spaces. You can find paragraph ends by typing ^p into the Find What box, and line ends by typing ^l (hat symbol followed by lowercase L)
