Exporting from Access (2000)

I would like to create a button to export data to Excel in Access, I know this can be done with a Macro, But I want the user to be able to select the directory and name in which the file will be saved. Any Help would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Re: Exporting from Access (2000)

If you export a query to Excel using code and you omit the destination argument then Access pops up the Save dialog box.
    For example:

'exports file as spreadsheet then asks to quit
'Shows SaveDialog because no file name given
    DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputQuery, "qryExportLogtoXL", acFormatXLS
