Make a report out of a form (Access 2000)

Is it possible to make a form and its layout and contents directly to a report?

You could do the following, but you'll probably have to do some fine-tuning to make the report look good:
    1.
Open the form in design view

Select all controls (Ctrl+A)

Copy to the clipboard (Ctrl+C)

Switch to the database window (F11)

Switch to the Reports tab

Create a new report in design view based on the same table or query as the form

Paste the form controls (Ctrl+V)

Delete controls that don''t work in a report, such as command buttons.
Note: the layout of a form is often not optimal for a report, because a form and a report serve different purposes.

Have you made the Record Source of the report equal to that of the form?

Actually, in Access 2000 and later, you have an option of saving a form as a report. Is that any help? Just select the form in the database window, right click and select Save As or select Save As from the File menu. You'll see a dialog with a combobox that will allow you to select either form or report. If you select Report, a copy of the form will be saved as a report. Then you can tweak the layout in the design view of the new report.
