Outlook Lies: This message has extra line breaks. (2002 SP-2)

The bright yellow notification area atop a message tells me useful things like whether the person wants me to keep it confidential and whether I've replied. But there's also this annoying and typically untrue message that gets right in my face on every plain text message: This message has extra line breaks. To remove click here. I went searching for a way to get rid of them, and there is no official way. There is a hack using a hex editor, but I think this is a bit drastic (since I'd have to do it on blind faith). Here's hoping that this message will be optional in Outlook 2003, or at least appear only when there really ARE extra line breaks in the message.

Jefferson, I only operated Outlook XP for a limited period of time, but found that the messages about line breaks were invariably correct. Could your experience about lies be something to do with screen resolution. AGREED on the questionable value/priority ratio of the message.

What are you trying to get rid of, the message or the line breaks?

If the line breaks, just click the yellow message and see what happens.

Some messages have so many line breaks one may not see the difference.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Thanks, Gentlemen. When I click the "click here" notice, in nearly all cases, no lines are changed and the notice goes away. Occasionally one or two lines will be changed and the notice will change to "click here to change back." So it isn't always lying. I would just rather not have any notice at all. They could have put it on a button instead.
