    Select Operation System (XP Home)

When the computer is booted, the following message will show up. Since there is only Windows XP installed in the hard drive, how to get rid of this message?

Please select the operation system to start

    Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
    Microsoft Windows

Re: Select Operation System (XP Home)

This is controlled by the file called BOOT.INI in the root of your C: drive.

The easiest way to change is is to use Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery
Clear the check box next to "Time to display list of operating systems"
