Dashed lines - My puzzle of the day (Visio 2002 SR-1)

Here is my puzzle of the day?? I have a Visio drawing - two of the lines in the drawing are dashed. When I copy the drawing to a text box in Word (2K) one of the lines becomes solid. I have tried reapplying the dashed formatting to the line in Visio and recopying - to no avail. Any insight that anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried exporting the graphic and then importing that file into Word rather than using copy and paste?

Do both lines have the same 'style' name?

Is there a third 'invisible' line behind the one that becomes solid?

I often get odd changes when importing Visio into word. The most effective method I have found is to create a white rectangle as a background behind the Visio drawing, Select All, Group, Copy, and then to Paste into word (Usually using Paste Special (as a Picture or Enhanced Metafile depending on what I am going to do with the Word document)

Ron

I have been using the Word|Insert|Object|Creat from File option for sometime to insert Visio flowcharts, diagrams, organisation charts etc and have never had this problem. I have just tried to replicate your problem but couldn't manage it.
cheers

Thanks folks. After much , I went and reapplied a different formatting to each line - different dotting style - and that seems to have worked. I then tried to replicate it (the dotted line problem) and could not make it happen again .

All input is appreciated. Thanks again.
