Linked tables in a query (Access 2000 SR-1)

I have several tables linked. The prime table is linked to a name table, a status table, an owner table, et al.

Not all fields need to be populated.

When I create a query, to pass to a report, only the records where each field is populated are displayed. Hence my report only displays a few records. For example, a record which doesn't have a status selected is omitted from the report.

How do I get each record displayed, even if some fields are blank?

    Thanks for your help.

Open the query in design view.
Double click one of the lines joining the main table to one of the auxiliary tables.
Select the option to display all records from the main table (depending on how you set it up, it will be the second or third option; these are called outer joins)
Repeat this for the other joins.
