    RAC Manager (XP Home)

After deleting some "important" files, my friend (can't blame me this time!) is not able to start remote access connection manager and therefore not able to make new or use existing dial up modem links to his ISP - although logged in as an administrator user, when starting the RAC Manager service we get the following error... "could not start service, error 5: Access is denied". The same user is able to stop and restart other serivies though?

I've run Windows setup again from the original CD and thought this would restore any missing files, but it hasn't. Any idea? If I try to add a new dial up connection I get the following error..."can't load RAC Manager Error 711- configuration error..."

Ian: I found the same thing Leif did, so follow his link and it should take care of your problem.
