    Color Trouble

    Hi
I have created a table and set the back ground color in some of the cells. Works and looks great, but when I print the page I the background color is gone. Is there a way to keep the color when table is printed?

    Thanks!

    Are you printing from IE?

There is an option for printing background colours (IE5.5 anyway)

    Thanks Lief!

That will do it. Though I will not be able to get the user to choose that option all the time. Is there a way to have that option selected through the code? Or am better of not using that effect?

    Thanks again!

At a guess you can not change the users options- you'd be able to get up to all sorts of nasty tricks if you could.
It may be better to skip trying to force it - you may get all sorts of weird effects if someone tries to print, e.g. red on a blue background on a B&W printer - i.e. all black!

You may need to decide on the value of the coloured background and advise users to change their settings if required...?
