    Copy Subtotals (Excel 97)

I am trying to copy/paste subtotals without getting the detail behind the numbers. In the attached sample I have subtotaled some data. Samples 1 & 2 show what the various kinds of copy give me. What I need is just the values of the subtotals. Can someone tell me how to get the subtotals only? I can't figure it out <img src=/S/sigh.gif border=0 alt=sigh width=15 height=15>.

    TIA

Select the outline view with the subtotals, then select the range of subtotals, then select Go To, Special, Visible Cells Only, then Copy and Paste Special, Values.
