    merge files same fields (2000)

I have imported into multiple files in excel, data for the purpose of making ONE database list. Other than copying and pasting from all the files separately into one, how can i merge or append to end, data from all files.

I am familiar with consolidate, but that wants to calculate the data - there is nothing to calculate, it is merely names, addresses etc.

    Is there a file import or append data that i don't know about? Thank you. <img src=/S/dizzy.gif border=0 alt=dizzy width=15 height=15>
Many thanks for any help, much appreciated.
    Have a great day!

If this is a one time deal and there are NOT too many files to bring together, copy/paste is a good option.

If there are a lot of files, you must import them periodically, or you just want to learn some macro coding, a macro might be a good option.

I assume that all the multiple files are identical in form and code with a loop would be sufficient. There are many options and you don't give enough details to be specific.

    Some suggestions:
Do a copy/paste with the macro recorder and see the code for importing one file. DO it with the second. Look at the differences and similarities. You will have to find ways to "generalize this code".

When you have more specific questions, post back and we can answer them.
