    Access 97 & Windows XP (97)

Every time I start Access97 on a Windows XP machine I find the Option setting (under the Tools menu) is set to the defaults. If I change them, the changes will work fine until I reboot the machine, then the defaults are back! This happens on all 3 XP machines I have. I have no choice but to use Access97 since we are networked with 2 much older machines that cannot handle XP or for that matter, any newer version of Office than 97. Can anyone help me please?

Are you logged in to Windows XP as a user with sufficient rights? If you use a guest account, settings won't be saved.

There are no fundamental problems with Access 97 on Windows XP.

No, there is only the one user on each machine...the administrator account.

I'm sorry, I have no idea what can cause the problem then. Let's hope somebody else can help.
