    Auto filename in header (PPT2000)

boy, the lack of a search capability really crunches the usefulness of the forum. I bet this has already been answered a number of times. Anyhow...

How can I cause the filename to be printed as part of the header in the Notes Master. I presume it is a code of somekind, much as you do for a date or page number.

Re: Auto filename in header (PPT2000)

According to the online help for PPT 2002:

<hr>Can I create a header or footer that automatically shows the network path and file name of my presentation?

This can't be created automatically in Microsoft PowerPoint; instead, you should type in the path and file name as a header or footer and update it manually. On the View menu, click Header and Footer, select the tab you want, click Footer or Header as appropriate, and then type the path. <hr>
Therefore, I doubt that PPT 2000 can do it, either.

You can read this if you want...

PPT2000: Sample Code To Add the Path and File Name to Each Slide

But, personally, I'd rather just type it into the footer.
