    Printing problem

Can anyone shed light on a curious printing problem?

I do a large amount of work in Visio, particularly to generate clipart for PowerPoint presentations. These are usually built up of overlapping solid shapes, created out of joined-up lines and curves (example attached).

When I imported this into PowerPoint (via a WMF conversion) it looked great. It printed great on a colour printer, too, but I don't want to do that all the time. When I used the B&W printer, though, all the background / foreground stuff was awry and the graphic came out wrong. It didn't just happen to me in my office, either, so it doesn't appear to be printer-specific.

    Any thoughts?
