    I fear that the font in the status bar is hard-coded into Word; it follows the general Windows dpi setting, but it is not one of the fonts that you can set in the Appearance tab of Display Properties.

    I've been informed it can be changed in the registry. I've seen it in smaller ptich on other people's screens.

    With Large Fonts (120 dpi) or Small Fonts (96 dpi) in Display Properties > Settings > Advanced?
