    IIF() (2000)

    So I'm trying to use the IIF() function in my report. My report is based on a query that I wrote. The specific field that I'm trying to use in the IIF() was constructed using the MID() function. The criteria that I set for that was 4 Or 5 -- no quotes.

    I am now trying to use that field (called [CURRENT]) in my report. When I put the following into the Control Source, I get an #Error returned.
    =IIf([CURRENT]=5,"Not Current","Current")

    I have tried it both with [CURRENT]=5 and [CURRENT]="5" and neither seems to work. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Did you name the text box CURRENT? That would lead to a circular reference. If you did, give the text box another name.

    Yup -- that was the problem! Thanks Hans.
