    taskbar - can't add anything

Had a need to restart, and reinstall some programs. Now, the taskbar, which had a number of little programs I used all the time can't be placed on it anymore. I went into Programs, Settings,Taskbars and tried all the stuff, including drag amd drop.
Obviously I need to learn something more......can someone help? Thanks

Re: taskbar - can't add anything

You can't just drag items to the taskbar. The taskbar itself shows active windows. You either had items in QuickLaunch, generally found in C:WINDOWSApplication DataMicrosoftInternet ExplorerQuick Launch or you had items in the systray. Items which load at startup are usually found in the systray (but not always). If you want the Quick Launch toolbar back, right click an empty spot on the taskbar, click toolbars, & then Quick Launch. There may be other toolbars that you see that you want on the taskbar.
    Hope this helps,

It sounds like you have turned off your Quick Launch bar. From memory it is a setting in your Taskbar (right_click your taskbar > Properties....).

Mr Du mass says thanks..........I just wonder how I managed to turn it off? But, it's back on, so no need to explain.
