    Fresh Devices Fresh UI

At Fresh Devices are three free downloads including a Tweak UI-like program called Fresh UI, Fresh Diagnose which benchmarks CPU performance among others, gives hard disk, video system and MoBo information, and Fresh Download--one of many download "turbochargers."

    SMBP,
    Me again !!

Just wanted to say, I use Fresh UI as one of my "utilities" and find it very easy to use and safe. The do keep constantly updating it. Also most all of Ashampoo's offerings are worth a good look. http://www.ashampoo.com

    Re: Fresh Devices Fresh UI

Good to hear because I want to compare them to some of the other Tweak UI like programs we all collect and also their "Fresh Diagnose." I always get a little leary of download managers, because so many of them come with spyware which I can deal with and bugs/conflicts which I'd rather not.

    Re: Fresh Devices Fresh UI

I've used Fresh Devices software off and on for over a year and find the applications perform well and are polite with other running software.
However, you should be prepared for very regular notification of updates, IMHO bordering on spam.
I find it hard to believe that so many revisions, to software that is already so good, are necessary.

    Have a Great day!!!

    Re: Fresh Devices Fresh UI

I've used FD Download since version 2 (it's up to 5.80 now). For freeware, it's effective, flexible and reliable. The only criticisms I have are that the docco & help could be better, and the ads & popups when retrieving the latest version. Small price to pay. I've used a disposable email address to do the rego, but haven't noticed any spam that I could attribute to them. I haven't experienced or seen any reports of spyware, or other payload.

I don't use the other two products, because when I first looked at them, I felt the alternatives, like TweakUI & X-Setup were preferable. Might be time for another look to see how they've come along.
