    Sound Card or Speaker Problem

We just had a power brown-out and of course I was using my computer. Now my speakers are making a hissing noise. Device Manager thinks everything is ok. How do I determine if the power outage messed up my sound card or the speakers?

    TIA

Have you tried unplugging and reconnecting the speakers? That's worked for me in the past.
