    How do you update the Pivot Table range in 2002?

    right click on table
    wizard <back>
    Then select the new range of interest
    either continue with <next>
    or if just new data rows added click<finish>

    You could also define a dynamic named range, which you can use as Range value.

    For example, pbase defined as:

    =Sheet1!$A$1:INDEX(Sheet1!$E:$E,MATCH(9.9999999999 9999E+307,Sheet1!$C:$C))

    refers to the range in A:E in Sheet1. A1:E1 houses the labels. MATCH applies to column C whose data type is numeric. The MATCH bit requires a column of numeric type within A:E for this definition to work.

    When you opt for a dynamic named range as described above, you have to re-build your pivot table. Once done that, you don't have to update the Range value manually, unless you delete or more columns to the data area.
