Excel xp missing charts (Excel xp, sp2, win xp)

I have 2 laptops both with win xp home edition. I also have excel xp on both with sp2. I was transferring a file from one to the other that i copied to a CD. The file has about 20 graphs. On the source pc i can see all the charts fine. After copying the file to my new pc, a sony vaio, the graphs disappear. I know they are there because if i go to tools/options/chart/ and click on Chart sizes with window frame, the graph reappears. I've gone to ms website and gotten all the updates and loaded them. Has anyone else had this problem and do you know of a fix. thank you.

OK I truly don't understand what the problem is, so here is what I understand:

    1) MS-Excel 2002 on two laptops, and a desktop PC or a third laptop?
    2) On the original, all is well, on the two laptops you can't see the charts that you made on the Original computer?!

    OK couple of questions:
    1) On the two laptops, were the Charting components installed when Office/Excel was installed? I guess if laptops have small hard drives one would want to choose what components are installed. I guess this person does not like MS-Excel <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15> <img src=/S/duck.gif border=0 alt=duck width=23 height=23> <img src=/S/bagged.gif border=0 alt=bagged width=22 height=22>

    2) What happens when you choose to make a chart?

    3) Are these charts as stand-alone sheets, or on worksheets?

    Thanks for the feedback.
