Calendar Problem (Office XP)

When I try to change the date or time of a meeting, the pull down menu opens but, as soon as I try to click on a different date or time, the menu closes and I have to manually make any changes.

What's my problem?

I have the same irritation with OL-XP; I want it to work like OL-2K did. If you would, would you let me know of any solution you find, if not in the Lounge? I made a similar post awhile back and was given to understand that it was just the way this version worked. If so, it's a stupid step backwards.
I'd appreciate it!

Bill,
I haven't had a reply and have learned that if I don't have a relatively fast reply, I'm not going to get one. If I do get a reply, I'll give you a heads-up.

Hi Eli,

Sorry for the delay in getting back. Some of us actually have a life outside of the Lounge...mind you it isn't as interesting in the outside world.

I'm not having the problem, I've just confirmed my memory served correctly.

So what's different? I am running OfficeXP Pro of this PC the "About" under Outlook shows it is "Outlook 2002 (10.4608.4219) SP-2" and the OS is "Windows 2000 5.00.2195 SP-3". I've also checked this on a PC running XP Std with the same release versions and it also works.

Let me know how the versions compare. I'll have to leave this slide for the time being though as most of the office has finished for the day and I don't have accesses to the earlier PCs.

My wife's machine with std XP Ver. SP-1 doesn't have this problem either.

Ok, I've checked the older installs.

WiIN2k SP-3, as above. OL2002 (10.3513.3501) SP-1. These work just fine.

John seems to have eliminated WinXP from the mix. So it's back to you for more information, please.

Hi,
I'm running Outlook 2002 SP-2. Strange, now when I click on Start, I can't go directly to Shut Down - the icon disappears now.
I've virus scanned and did the Ad-aware/SpyBot run and nothing showed up. I'm using WinXP v5.1 SP-1.
What else would you like to know?

You could try installing Service Pack 3. (If you're using Internet Mail Only and make use of the Reminders feature, installing SP3 may mean also installing the December 18 2002 patch here.)

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
The MS fix is for Outlook 2000: I'm using Outlook 2002.

My apologies - too many figures & SPs floating around!!

It may be that one of the start-up switches here at MSKB 296192 could help you.
