    View text border... (XP SP-2)

    Hi,

When typing Speakers Notes under the slide PPoint doesn't have a line which tells me where the end of the screen is.
So it seems to fit on the screen, but when I print, the text is truncated.

How can I get WYSIWYG for the page margin perimeter?

    Thanks,

    m.q.

I am assuming, which is a dangerous thing to do, that PPT XP has View/Notes Page. In PPT 2000 there isn't any page margin markings and the only way to double check if the notes have run off the page is the View/Notes Page and even there you see that the notes are actually contained in a text box or placeholder.

By switching from Normal view to Notes Page view.

The notes area of the Normal view is really just a dumping ground for the content of your notes. It's there for convenience. But issues of formatting and printing should be dealt with in the Notes Page view. Don't be too shocked by this operational method. There are other places in PowerPoint that operates that way. When typing in Outline view, it does not show when a text placeholder is full. Only when you view the slide can you see that and then decide how to deal with it. Again, it provides a dumping ground to throw all the text in and then decide later how you want to arrange it.
