Having tasks fires at certain times during the day (Access 2000)

How can you have a set of code to fire at a certain time period, like midnight or at the end of every month?

    Thanks

I wrote an application a while back which fires up a database at a particular time of the day every day. It shouldn't be too hard to adapt it to run it at Midnight or at the end of the month.
The only timer Access has is in the OnTimer event of a form.

No it's not freeware, but I'll give you a copy anyway.
As I said it fires up a database at a particular time each day. It could be changed to fire up on the Nth day of a month, etc.
It's a start for you to hone it to your requirements.

You can also use to it to compact a database anytime you wish.

Regarding timer events, do they have to be on a form that is open? Can I just have a schedule task to run a function everytime at midnight, with only the db open only?

    Thanks

There is no Timer event for the database as a whole, only for individual forms, and the form has to be open for its Timer event to "fire".
