web toolbar (Word97 sr2 on Win2K/NT4)

Is there a way of preventing the Web toolbar from popping up every time I follow a cross reference within my document?

Switch to the Visual Basic Editor (Alt+F11)
Activate the Immediate window (Ctrl+G)
Type Commandbars("Web").Enabled = False then press Enter.
Quit the Visual Basic Editor (Alt+F4)
That's it!
