Track Changes show deletions as strikethrough (XP)

Attached is a screen print of how deletions and insertions look in Normal view on my PC. When the same file is opened on another PC with XP, the deleted text shows as just red text... no strikethrough. I want all deleted text to show as strikethrough. I can't figure out what is different between our PCS. Any ideas? I compared every option under Tools/Options.

    They hid this option!

See Woody's "Top Tip" (item #2) in WOODY's OFFICE WATCH Vol 8 No 12.
<hr>There's a way to format deleted text, but you have to run a macro. An
easy macro. Here's a recap from WOW 7.19, with a few updates:

    > Upgrade to Office XP Service Pack 3. (In fact, SP-1 is sufficient, but
    SP-3 won't hurt.)

    > Start Word. Click Tools | Options | Track Changes and uncheck the box
marked "Use balloons in Print and Web layout". That forces Word to show
you the changes inside the document, where you made them, instead of
hanging out in balloons on the side.

    > Press Alt+F11. You need to bring up the Visual Basic Editor and run a
    macro.

    > Click View | Immediate Window. At the bottom, you'll see a pane that
says Immediate. Anything you type in there is run "immediately" by Visual
    Basic.

    > Inside the Immediate pane, type one of the following commands,
depending on how you want tracked deleted text to be shown. It's
important that you type the text exactly or paste it from this
    newsletter.

    To format deleted text strikethrough:

    Options.DeletedTextMark = wdDeletedTextMarkStrikeThrough<hr>
See the full article for lots more information.

The solution posted worked! After pasting the text into the immediate box, just hit enter, then file>close and return to Word.

You probably also want to *print* the strikeout - after a little experimentation here's what worked (HP 8150 laser). Be sure the "Print what" box in lower left of print dialog box says Document Showing Revisions or something like that (different at my home computer, where I still have good ole 2000), then go into Option and check the Hidden Text box. Without these settings mine did not print any of the deleted text.

Strange that it was formatted as hidden text. Maybe this was a leftover from originally using balloons?
