    O11 Beta (2003)

FrontPage 2003 is a beta version. I tried to use it to produce a site, but there are bugs in the Shared Borders. Importing a site changes the type size in TextBoxes(!?).

    Not ready for prime time.

    What's it like?

Not ready for prime time, eh? Isn't that typical of so many MS products these days? <sigh> Can you tell us a bit more about what the program is like? The web site tells us that it's better, but offers no information on what improvements have been made. I understand that it no longer requires server extensions (yeah!). Does it provide any useful tools for editing ASP pages?

    Re: What's it like?

There are scads of new features. Probably the best way to see these discussed is the MS newsgroups. What I like best is that in 'code' view, each line is numbered, and Intellisense provides tag completion.

The major difficulty I have had is to properly reconcile navigation ~ the beta botches that, so I had to (gasp!) hard-wire a link bar . Ahem. Did i say that? Naah, that couldnt have been me.

Rumor has it that 2003 was Released To Manufacturing today, so you wont have long to wait.

Could this be a result of changing from a less CSS to a more CSS-compliant approach to fonts in the document? If the sizing previously was left to the browser defaults and now is controlled by a style sheet, that could explain the change.
