    Totally Bizarre Behaviour

    Cross-posted with VBA forum:

I'm adding forms controls to a Word 97 document(and coding behind them) and all of the sudden, when opening the properties for a combobox, I get the properties sheet for a command button. Opening the properties sheet for a text box reveals the properties for the combobox. Iz all mess up. Help!

Anybody know what's going on and how to fix it?

    Chris,

Thanks for putting in the link to the cross-post.

It's prompted me to suggest that a cross post be linked. So that anybody looking for an answer can find it in any place.

    But if people forget, there's always a moderator to do something <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>

    Re: Totally Bizarre Behaviour

Author-provided cross-links ought to be encouraged.

I'd dearly love a mechanism whereby I can be "in" a message, such as the message you sent and to which I reply, and be able to "lift" the reply into another ARENA.

Most obvious use would be to lift THIS reply and dump it in LoungeMatters optionally with a changed subject heading.

Another use would be to lift this message and issue it as a private message to the sender (since right now I am aware that I'm clouding Word forum with an issue that is probably irrelevant to the general public.

    Back to links.

An easy mechanism for linking posts might be the only way to encourage people to build the usefulness into the database; ESPECIALLY as it is the posters themselves who know best what's relevant, or who remember associated threads.
