    MRU List (2002)

I want to remove files from the New File task pane MRU (most recently used) list. I can do it by editing the registry, but is there a way to do this from Access?

There is no way to remove specific files from the MRU list from within Access itself. You can change the number of files in the MRU list with the instruction

Application.SetOption "Size of MRU File List", n

where n is 0, 1, ... or 9. But setting this to 0 doesn't clear the MRU list until the Access application is closed, so you can't use it to clear the MRU list within the current session.

Another MS oversight....I noticed that even deleting the actual file from disk does not alter the MRU list (even after a restart). I think a MS employee will soon fix this problem because Mr. Balmer has announced that employees will be given actual MS stock instead of stock options. That's the motivation they've all been waiting for. (Bill, Steve, lighten up. I'm only kidding....)
