calendar/organizer

A friend is looking for software that will allow him to set up his schedule on a calendar on his computer. Looking for suggestions for this retired fellow who just wants to keep track of his schedule and to-do list. Thanks.

Wow, Trebor, this should bring a flood of suggestions! About a year ago when I was trying to "get away" from Outlook, someone here in The Lounge suggested Time & Chaos but it's $45..... On the other hand, I've tried looking for something on the Palm web site that says thou shalt not use our desktop software if you ain't got a Palm handheld. I can't find anything, but you may want to look for yourself at Palm Desktop.

Try This calendar/organizer It's only $3.95 But it gives you a 15 day Trial period to see if you like it. I don't think you can beat $3.95 if you like the way it works.

If your friend happens to have MS Works 2000, 2001 or 2002 & I think 2003, they all come with a Calendar which works like the original "MS Schedule". Often colleagues of mine who have works on their machines dont even know this program is there. Works is a relatively inexpensive alternative, and now that Word is included its not bad at all.

Try the free chaos manager from http://home4.inet.tele.dk/mbresson/cm/index.html
I've used this for a while now and it's size, simplicity and price appeal to me...
