    CD handling (XP)

"The book sez" that CD's written on Windows XP systems interchange with CD's written on older systems - but I suspect the book isn't telling the whole truth. Where can I get a good explanation of what the differences are? I keep being asked about reading XP CD's with older systems or how to use RW CD's on XP - etc. I don't know enough to even know when someone SHOULD be having problems. Can someone aim me to a resource?

    Thank you

This should explain it to you How do CD-RWs (rewriteable CDs) work

It's the Cd-Rom or Writer that makes the difference not the Operating System. Anyway read the article on the site above and I think you will understand why.
