    On-Going winth Win2K

OK... we're still here and (barely) breathing...

If I get an error message that some program's install didn't complete (not true) and that I need to re-boot to complete the process... and I do so, but STILL get the same message... how do I then clear that?

Some programs have better installers than others that work with the Windows installer better than others and some give you that false message. One way to get rid of it is to uninstall and reinstall if there is no real reason not to do this. Windows 2000 doesn't have a native msconfig utility or System Configuraton Utility, but you could use Win 98's and then check to see if unchecking that program on startup would take down the message (it probably wouldn't--which is why I favor a simple uninstall/reinstall of the program with the offending box.

and for Win 2K try Wayne's Windows 2000 Tips

When you get squared away with all the Win 2K and SP4 install problems you were having, post up what you did Chuck. Thanks.
