    library for String functions (xp)

String functions (instr(), left()...) aren't compiling in my Access XP app. I just installed Access, and maybe I just am not referencing the correct libraries. I'm Referencing:
    Visual Basic for Applications
    Microsoft Access 10.0 Object Library
    OLE Automation
Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.1 Library

    thanks

You don't have a reference saying MISSING? If so, clear its check box.

Do you have any DAO code (for example Dim .. As Database)? If so, try clearing the reference to Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.1 Library and set a reference to Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library.

I've found that date and string functions can be lost when the Utilility.mda library isn't connected. If can usually be found in program fileOffice and maybe 1033

I'm not sure, but I think that the dependency is related to older version of Access being installed.
