    Excel (2002)

Excel is not saving custom headers/footers. It defaults back to the date only, right aligned. Is this normal? If not, how can I correct it?

    Bob,

Excel stores the Header and Footer in the workbook where it was created. Are you saying that when you create custom headers and save the workbook, they are gone when you re-open the workbook?

Yes, that is correct. For instance, a worksheet in which I select to print the page numbers, after I save and reopen, the footer goes back to only the date. I have to re-select to print the page numbers each time I print it.

It sounds like there is an event macro (probably the Open event) that is replacing the header/footer.

Thanks. It was an Add-In. Don't know why I did not think of this. I guess that is what this is all about isn't it! Great Help!
