Permanently hide gridlines? (Word 2000 SR1)

I want to post a form that I created in Word on the company Intranet. Is there a way to permanently hide gridlines? I know that I can turn off Show Gridlines, but I believe that whether or not someone on the receiving end sees them has everything to do with whether or not they have Show Gridlines or Hide Gridlines turned on in their Word. I'm afraid that if user's see all those little grey lines, in addition to grey fields, it might just overload them. Let me know if you have any ideas.

How about giving all the table cells white borders. These will show as white even if Show Gridlines is enabled.

Old sneaky tips pop up again , until some one uses a WordPerfect blue background.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
