    Form fields in a Form letter (2000)

    I have a form letter that has form fields included. When
    I merge the letter with our customer information, the text
    form fields disappear. Is there an issue with being able
    to use these two together? Please help me! My boss is
    breathing down my neck [img]/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif[/img] I did not create this letter, so I
    am not too sure about the formulas in Word. Be easy on
    me, eh? hehe

    This is a known problem, and there is a workaround, but it is neither simple nor efficient. Tell your boss that it is a complicated problem.

    A description of the problem and the workaround can be found in Microsoft Knowledge Base article WD2000: Text Form Fields Are Not Retained During Mail Merge. If you have little or no experience with programming in Word, the workaround will be abacadabra to you, I fear.
