Copied CD won't even register on another machine (2000)

Lots of time and effort, created a nice presentation to use in a class... took it in and the CD would not even register in the machine... Tried saving my presentation down a couple of levels... but still the machine at college where I teach says it cannot find a CD... to please insert one.
The CD which I have copied it onto works fine in my pc at home and opens the presentation correctly. Any ideas on my problem?

I think you will find that is more of a Windows/Hardware issue, not PowerPoint. You might want to ask in that group also.

In all probability, what you are dealing with is a very old CD-ROM at the college that cannot read the 80-min formatted CDs. It also could be a case of saving it as a multi-session CD and not permanently closing the CD - some older CD-ROM drives can't read a CD created that way. What software package did you use to create it?
